My goals were to use traditional medium and incorporate a theme. I decided to make my project about anxiety, namely the unease of it. I knew I wanted cool perspective and scale, and first drew a bunch of thumbnail sketches of random things that vaguely communicated the idea of anxiety.

With the help of Coach Hall, I varied by compositions(angles) a bit more, and eventually narrowed them down on final idea.

I had a slightly limited color palette because I was using a set of POSCA markers, so I mapped out what colors would go where first. To create depth, I decided on hatching, since it is difficult to blend POSCA markers.

Lastly, I added an arm to my figure because it did not look humanoid enough before.
