Figure Drawings 2025 | Reflection

As a mostly digital artist, this was my first time working properly on an easel with charcoal with human models. In these figure drawing studies, I started off using lines to outline the figure and parts of the figure, but I learned over time to treat the subject as 3D and started using more curved lines to show more depth. As for the subtractive drawing, it was a unique and fun learning experience for me. I've heard of it before, but 'painting' the light onto the neutral base helped me understand lighting in general more. Over the course of these days, I also learned the importance of negative space and how it can help draw proportionately.
